Klepper, Hahn & Hyatt (KHH) was founded when Howard F. Eckerlin, P.E., launched his structural engineering consultancy in Syracuse, New York, in 1950. He was soon joined by Lawrence E. Klepper, P.E., and the partnership became Eckerlin & Klepper in 1954. Francis A. Hahn, P.E., became a partner in 1966. Gordon R. Hyatt joined the firm in 1968, and the partnership evolved to include him in 1973. The firm was registered as Klepper, Hahn & Hyatt, P.C., in 1985.
Gordon P. Hyatt, R.L.A., joined the firm in 1988, and thus the firm added landscape architecture to its core disciplines. Mr. Hyatt became a principal of the firm in 1992. Richard L. Applebaum, P.E., joined KHH as a structural engineer in 1978, and became a principal in 1988. James A. D’Aloisio, P.E., LEED AP, was hired as a structural engineer in 1987, and became a principal in 1992.
The firm expanded to include additional design services for building envelope systems in 2004, and continues to offer inspection services in related structural areas.
KHH is located in Syracuse, the crossroads of upstate New York, with easy access to all points within the state and throughout the Northeast.
Our staff of 25-plus includes licensed structural engineers, registered landscape architects, experienced technicians, and computer design and support personnel.
