Centers of Worship
Church of Christ the King Addition and Renovations, Guilderland, New York
KHH provided structural engineering services for a new addition and renovations to this church, designed to accommodate the needs of a growing congregation. The addition included a Gathering Space of approximately 5,000 square feet, a Baptistry of approximately 1,000 square feet, and a Worship Space with seating for 615 people. A glued, laminated wood dome was used for the Worship Space, with interior concrete columns and a tubular steel tension ring helping to support the weight of the roof.
