The Raymond Corporation Building Additions, Greene, New York
This project, for which KHH provided structural engineering services, consisted of two one-story additions to the existing facility. A Ram Cell Addition totaled approximately 40,000 square feet, and a Finished Goods Storage Addition included another 35,000 square feet, for a complete project total of about 75,000 square feet. Along with snow and dead loading, the framing was designed for additional load capacity for three-ton cranes positioned at any location. The structures have steel-framed roofs, and the framing steel pitches to interior drains. The exterior walls have horizontal steel wind girts for support of vertical-ribbed insulated steel wall panels. Floors are seven-inch concrete slab-on-grade, with capacity for light industrial use. The foundations are conventional concrete frost walls and piers, bearing on concrete strip and spread footings
