Leaning Structure
Cover of a 1980s marketing brochure

A tree pierces the sky
its roots foundations
limbs supporting and nursing
leaves alive with color
skin concealing a vast, timeless force
perfectly formed by nature’s symmetry
and grace
yet the tree stands unheralded
for it is commonplace and abundant
viewed with respect
approaching near reverence by only a few
for it structurally embodies
the strength and design
so vital to our profession
and mankind.
